Gari is a name of love and lineage. Her debut album, Is it mine? If my name was ___, is it mine? (2024) is an introspective genre-fluid body of work exploring the relationship between name and being. Gari explores love, the self, and the simultaneous wonder and anxiety of what it means to create through electroacoustic soundscapes of chamber ensembles and digital synths, and gritty yet delicate vocal delivery. The work features collaboration with Movement in Motion Collective for a two-part dance music video series.
